It’s winter here in Gainesville, and that means some of our local wildlife isn’t as quick to hop as it might otherwise be. Crystal’s daughter found not one but TWO frogs while her mom was working today, which proved to be even more diverting than sidewalk chalk. The little girl was delighted.
The frog, not so much.
Some wisdom about frogs was imparted (“Be gentle, his bones are tiny”), some observations about frog toes were made (“that feels funny!”), some domestic arrangements were sketched in chalk (“I’m drawing him a house!”), and then Mr. (or possibly Ms.) Frog was escorted to an out-of-the-way patch to resume his (or possibly her) life among the flower pots and greenery of Grow-Hub.
